RECOGNITION

IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates are recognized by all member Universities of Association of India Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates of all Indian Universities/Institutions, as per UGC Circular letter no. F.1-52/2000(CPP-II) dated 5^th May, 2004, AIU Circular No. EV/11(449/94/176915-177115 dated January 14, 1994 & AICTE Circular No. AICTE/Academic/MOU-DEC/2005 dated May 13, 2005.

BED (Bacheor of Education) offered by IGNOU is recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) vide letter no. F-3/DL-83/99/7811, dated-31.5.99.

MBA and MCA offered by IGNOU are recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) vide letter no. AICTE/Academic/MoU-DEC/2005, dated- May 13,2005.

The Govt. of West Bengal , School Education Dept. (Appointment Branch) has recognized IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates vide their letter no. 316-SE(Apptt.)/10M-51/99, dated- 21^st March,2000, letter No.742-SE(Apptt.), dated-31^st July,2002.

The Govt. of West Bengal , Directorate of Employment has also recognized IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates vide their letter no. 3E.3 (Govt. file)/95(pt)/6713-82B(52), dated- 09 July,1998.

After completion of a particular Degree , IGNOU learners are eligible to take admission in any Indian University subject to fulfilling other criteria as laid down by the concerned University.

IGNOU learners are eligible to appear in any Examination conducted by UPSC (like IAS etc.), SSC (School Service Commission, Govt. of West Bengal) or by any other Commission in any State or Union Territory of India.
