There
is a printed card for change of Study Centre which is dispatched along with
the study materials. The form is also available at the Regional Centre. In
case a change of Study Centre is desired, the learners are advised to fill-in
the proforma and send it to the Regional Centre (applicable
only to those learners who are attached to any Study Centre under the jurisdiction
of the Regional Centre) along with a photocopy / Xerox copy of IGNOU
Identity Card.
Alternatively,
learners can also write an application mentioning his / her name, enrolment
no., Programme, address, old Study Centre Code and the new Study Centre Code
where he/she is willing to be shifted. They should also attach a
photocopy / Xerox copy of IGNOU Identity Card.
Since
counselling facilities are not available for all Programmes at all the Study Centres,
learners are advised to make sure that counselling
facilities are available for the subject he / she has chosen, at the new Study
Centre opted for. Request for change of Study Centre is normally accepted subject
to availability of seat for the programme at the new Study Centre asked
for.
Normally,
it takes 2 to 3 weeks to effect the change. Learners will be informed about
the change from the Regional Centre.
