Normally, counselling
sessions are held as per schedule drawn by the Study Centre / Special Study
Centre (SSC) / Programme Study Centre (PSC). These are mostly held during
the non-working hours (generally Saturday and Sunday) of the host institutions
where the Study Centres are located.
Attendance in
theory Counselling sessions is not compulsory.
But we strongly recommend to attend
theory counseling sessions in order to get maximum academic benefit.
However,70% or 75 % attendance is compulsory for practical counseling
sessions (applicable to those programmes having
practical components like CIT, BCA, MCA etc.). Practical counseling sessions
are held at work centers identified by the Study Centre and duly approved
by the Regional Centre.
For
counseling schedule, the learners should contact their Study Centre.
No counseling
sessions are held during June and December because during this time,
Term-End-Examinations (TEE) are held.
No
payment is required to attend the counseling sessions (theory and practical).
If a
learner
fails
to attend 70 % or 75% Practical Counselling sessions, he / she has to pay Fee on pro-rata
basis to attend practical counseling session. For this, the learner should
contact the Regional Centre. However, this rule is not
applicable
to theory
counseling sessions.
